There are online only runewords,(basically enhancements to items) but with mods you can get those in single player(offline) as well. Monsters scale with how many players you have in game, if you play offline in single player you can change the difficulty by just typing /players 1-8. I don't think I need any more advice, but I'll leave it open just in case someone thinks thiers something crucial that hasn't been said yet.
Thanks for the encouragement, too, and to those who said I should play without guides. As well as some really great leveling advice. Now I know how to avoid losing gear unnecessarily and to be careful about who I play online with so I don't break the game getting op drops. Any tips and/or advice or anything would be helpful. Should I be playing with random people online? What should I be doing and what should I not do? I feel lost. Also, I have only played in solo cuz none of my friends play Diablo. I like it so far, but there's so much I don't know, and I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I explore and try to find the locations in which the quests are so I can complete them. I started D2-R about a month ago, and total, I have probably only put about 12 hours into the game.
I pre-ordered Diablo 4 and then decided I needed to play Diablo 2 and 3 first. I have never played a Diablo game before.
